04/25/2013 - Wake-Up Lenoir-Fixing NC's Workforce Pipeline through Early Childhood Investment
A Wake-Up Lenoir Executive Briefing on Early Workforce Development will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013. The briefing and complimentary breakfast will have a special presentation on the First 2,000 Days Initiative, Fixing North Carolina’s Workforce Pipeline
through Early Childhood Investments.
The event will be co-hosted by the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce, The North Carolina Partnership for Children and The Partnership for Children of Lenoir and Greene Counties. The briefing will take place at Chef and the Farmer restaurant in Kinston, from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

Two of Kinston’s top ranking officials are also two of the youngest in the state at their jobs. While Mayor BJ Murphy and City Manager Tony Sears often share insight on what’s going on in the city, here’s your chance to hear their keys for success as Young Professionals. Murphy and Sears will also be talking about some special projects in the works that will directly benefit local young professionals. Join the Young Professionals of Lenoir County as we host a social and discussion at the Kinston Country Club on Thursday, April 25.
The social will start at 5 p.m. in the Main Dining Room of Kinston Country Club. YPLC members will receive a complimentary drink ticket and there will be a cash bar.
